The Lore

Originally carved for the floating gardens of a sky-city, this statue fell to earth during the Great Descent. Though her arms were shattered in the fall, the locals refused to repair her, believing the damage made her a more perfect symbol of "Beauty in Brokenness." The fountain ring was built around where she landed. It is now a site of pilgrimage for artists and poets who believe that by washing their hands in the basin, they can gain a fraction of the ancient sculptor's lost talent.
