In the world of Garrum Grumbleberry, nothing goes to waste. Barnaby Squeak is the garden’s premier "Salvage Engineer." While most mice are content with crumbs, Barnaby is obsessed with human contraptions—specifically anything that chugs, clicks, or glows.

Dressed in his custom-tailored leather aviator jacket and his signature top hat with brass pressure-gauge goggles, Barnaby spends his days scouring the workshop and fountain for lost treasures. To him, a discarded soda pull-tab is a structural beam, and a lost watch spring is a high-powered engine component.

His Specialized Gear

• The Pressure-Goggles: These allow Barnaby to see "heat signatures" of magical spores and the structural integrity of Garrum’s concrete, helping him avoid dangerous cave-ins.

• The Pumpkin Trolley: A reinforced, hollowed-out gourd used for heavy transport. Currently, it’s loaded with a "Solstice Soul-Cask" pumpkin, which Barnaby is delivering to the Great Gilled Manor to power the Fairy Mother’s winter lights.

• The Silver Engine (Toy Train): In his right hand, Barnaby grips the "Silver Comet"—a high-pressure steam engine he salvaged from a child’s toy. He has modified it to run on fermented mushroom steam, using it to haul loads ten times his own weight across the gravel paths.
